does anyone have an idea when mysql guys are going to include foreign key
support in myisam tables.
i have read that it is slated for a future release, but it is not mentioned
when it is actually scheduled for.

This page USED to say foreign keys would be supported in all table
types in version 5.1 - now it just has a cop-out link to the home
page:

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/todo-mysql-5-1.html

This still shows it in 5.1, though it's very vague, but it also shows
other items in 5.1.

So my guess / hope is 5.1.

Hi,

I had asked similar question few days ago, and then checked with
the developers as no one was able to answer on this mailing list.
I was told it is very likely we'll get it in 5.2.
