Unable to connect tomcat with mysql pl help

Hi All,
Iam using tomcat 5x and mysql5.x the proble is when i try to connect mysql and tomcat using j/connector 3.x tomcat throws error as access denied to users@local host using password 'YES'.
Please help me to overcome this problem.
