Good Evening;

I have download MySQL and installed with the administrator software created a
schema called “bfca” and added a table called “main” and created a user “web”
and assigned rights to that table.

I’m trying to access this table from and ASP page, (Code Below)

Dim strDataBAseType
strDataBaseType = "MySQL"

ConnectionString = "DRIVER={MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver}; SERVER=localhost;
DATABASE=bfca; USER=web; PASSWORD=cboys; OPTION=3;"

set cnAdmin = server.CreateObject("ADODB.connection")
set rsAdmin = server.CreateObject("ADODB.recordset")
cnAdmin.Open ConnectionString

rsAdmin.Open "main", cnAdmin, adOpenForwardOnly,ad
LockOptimistic,adcmd
table
SQLAdmin = "SELECT * FROM main"
set rsAdmin = cnAdmin.Execute(SQLAdmin)

I’m unable to open this empty data base, the “cnAdmin.Open ConnectionString“ .

THIS IS THE WEB PAGE ERROR:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default
driver specified /test/default4.asp, line 34

I see Microsoft ODBC where I’m using MySQL, I’ve tried using DNS of which work
fine from test when adding.

I you could please offer some advise, thank you.
