I know. I have become quite a "raving free software zealot" as some
would say :-))

The vehemence of my reply was not triggered by any suspicion of you
trying to sell anything, but but by my abhorrence of proprietary
products.

if so, I will stay with the CLI - no problem here. Besides, then I can
run my databases on an older machine without worrying about the
graphics card or X.

no sure about Rekall. But have you heared about something called
Knoda. If not - look it up. Seems ok (although I have had no time to
install it yet).
