| Hi, I was hoping someone could help me out. I am currently looking at
different database systems. what id like to review are some of the more
popular emerging technologies, and current technologies that oracle has.
Inclusive, what are some of the services and standards within the oracle
management environment?
any help much appreciated.

Which ones?
Why?
With a view to doing what, exactly?
Planned Hardware? Storage? Transactions/second?
How big with the db be in GB?, how much will it grow per year, month,
day?
Answers to these questions will help people here point you towards
appropriate technologies.

Oracle, 9.2.0.1.0 (Enterprise Ed.)
Interbase 6.0.1.0;
When asking database related questions, please give other posters
some clues, like operating system, version of db being used and DDL.
The exact text and/or number of error messages is useful (!= "it didn't work!").
Thanks.
Furthermore, as a courtesy to those who spend

@home.com is bogus.

You need to provide specifics. Ask for water and you may get a cup or
you may get the Pacific Ocean. Others have offered you the ocean ...
I expect you will drown in it.

Unlike many bobbing "corks" in technology nowadays, Oracle is
not about "floating" or "emerging" this or that. It's a database, not
a fishing implement.
The term is deranged to start with and totally inappropriate for a
technical forum. Kindly go to Gartner's site or some other moronic
marketing outlet engaged in re-inventing dictionaries for lack of
any smidgeon of imagination.
