SQL 2005 Enterprise Eval to Standard
|

| I have a client that wishes to purchase and install SQL 2005 Standard for a
project that will begin this coming weekend. Due to not being able to order
SQL 2005 yet, I have downloaded the 2005 Enterprise Eval with 180 day limit
and installed with no problems. This client will not have the need for the
Enterprise version, so we will be purchasing the Standard release. When I do
receive the legal, Standard version will I have problems migrating my
databases from the trial Enterprise version to the Standard version? What
will be the procedure? I'm guessing to uninstall the Eval and then manually
install the Standard version and mount the databases under Standard. Is
there an easier way, however?
Thanks.

| According to SS 2005 BOL, SS2005 EvalEd can be upgraded to SS 2005 EE, SE, WE, DevEd and Express.
