Author x64 Opteron running SQL Server 2005 in 32-bit?

Hi,

I installed SQL Server 2005 Ent. on an x64 AMD Hammer server running Windows
2003 Server Std. x64 ed.

When I open SQL Server configuration Manager and view advanced properties of
the SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) then the 'Running under 64 bit OS'-parameter is
set to 'No'. When I try to change this to 'Yes' and press OK the system
changes the parameter back to 'No'

Does this mean that my x64 server is running SQL2k5 server in 32-bit mode?

Can anyone explain? Thank you very much.

Did you install the 64 bit X64 version of SQL Server or the 32 bit version of SQL Server? They have
different binaries (different folders on the product DVD).

Tibor, thank you. But, yes, I installed the x64 version.

OK, thought I'd check, just in case. Sorry, but I don't have 64 bit to play with...
