After upgrading my W2000 server running SQL2000 to Windows 2003 server in an
in place upgrade, I am getting the error message below in Veritas Backup Exec
whenever I attempt to view the databases on the server. All other data on the
server is accessible and can be backed up AND this same server was
successfully backing up the SQL 2000 databases prior to the upgrade. What
gives?

"An error occured while trying to browse the contents of Servername. A
database query failed."

Also -- I have tried the Veritas technote referring to changing one of the
Engine setting in the registry to a 1 from a 0 but had no success.

This doesn't give us anything to go on. The application (BE) executes some SQL statement which
fails. We don't know the statement, nor the SQL Server error message. I suggest you talk to Veritas
about this.
