Author Transaction Log details....columns?

I think of the tlog as a table that list records of transactions.

1) If that is somewhat true, are their columns that would be user specific?

My problem is we were wanting to restore a DB and look at the transaction
log to see a play of events by someone.

2) Is a username in the row or just a spid or any thing user identifiable?

I have explored LogExplored 4.02 but without it installed prior to the
activity it will not give you the who. I played with ApexLog but not see a
user.

Any insight would be greatful.
