I have a couple of dumb questions.

- Is 64 bit of SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition different software than
the regular 'SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition' (32 bit) ? or same software
for both ?

- Would it work on different Processors other than 'Intel Itanium 2' ?

Thanks.

Only Itanium. The 64x version of windows is only supported for SQL server 32 bit. With SQL server
2005, you will have a native 64 bit version for 64x.
