| Hi All,
I have several questions regarding sql server 2005, as follows:
1-Can we run on the same Physical Server (box) an instance of Sql Server 2005
as well an instance or Sql server 2000. I have a number of Analysis Services
2000 MDX-based - Reporting Services SP2 reports that need migrating to
Analysis Services 2005.
2- How many instance can be run concurrently on SQL server 2005, whther
database engine or Analysis Services engine?
3- is there s recommended scenario for a HOSTING environment for Analysis
Services for SQL Server 2005.
Highly appreciate your input.
Thank you
James

Yes. Same Rules applies like Sql 7.0 and SQl 2000. But Client toll will be
upgraded to SQL 2005 and you can manage SQl 2000 servers from the new tools.
2- How many instance can be run concurrently on SQL server 2005, whther

| SQl 2000 will allow only 16 instances 1 default +15 named or 16 named instances
SQl 2005 is 1 default +49 named or 50 named instances
