SQL 2k standard on Win 2003 Server - MDAC???

| I need to install SQL SERVER 2k standard client tools on our Win Server 2003.
I am concerned that the MDAC will be overwritten with an older version. Can
anyone tell me if this will indeed overwrite newer files with older and if
so, how do I upgrade the MDAC to the most current. The MDAC downloads that I
have found do not reference Win Server 2003.
Has anyone run into this?

| Windows 2003 will look after it's MDAC install with Windows File Protection.
MDAC now ships only with OS's and OS Service Packs. The latest MDAC came out
in Windows 2003 SP1.

| I loaded SQL 2k standard and then SP3 without issue. I then went back and
ran the MDAC checker and everything remained correct for Win 2003 Server.
