Disclaimer: These actions are being taken on a VMWare box. Im first
attempting to figure out if this is normal behaviour or just VMWare
behaviou. The following question is one I put on the VMWare forum...

/*
Im attempting to restore a SQL database to my new VMWare box. I have 136
gigs free, and the DB is about 108 gigs. However, after restoring for some
time, the box hangs and is totally unresponsive. I log into the "host" box
and it gives a long winded error message about the disk being out of space.
Why would this be? Once I do a cold boot of the vmware box and log back into
it, I see that the db is in a loading state. The db files are both on the
disk in they're full capacity, and the is still 20 + gigs available. So why
would this be the case?
*/

Has anyone ever experienced this behaviour on a non VMWare box?

TIA, ChrisR
