enabling the ability to update system files

| I am trying to delete a user in sysuser and am getting a message that says
ad hoc updates to systems catalog are not enabled, how do you enable the
ability to update? This occurs when you restore to a new server sql messes
up the users and must be deleted and readded, but the server does not see
the user so you cannot do this through other means

| Perhaps you should reply to the thread you started yesterday - someone
kindly took the time to respond.
You don't need to do this. In fact, you should never "hack" the system
tables unless you know exactly what you are doing and understand the
consequences if done incorrectly. A little research on your part - this is
an extremely FAQ - will lead you to the appropriate solution.
