Can databases created on SQL Server 2005 Express be ran on SQL Server 2000?
In this day of cost-cutting, the company wants to hold off on upgrading our
production boxes from 2000, however, we have users that want to do
development in 2005 Express. Any considerations or gotchas to be aware of?

You won't be able to backup/restore or attach/detach etc but you could
always migrate the objects via DTS/SSIS/BCP etc. There may be certain
compatibility issues if you make use of the new data types on offer in 2005
