Upgrading from SQL 8.00.922 to 8.00.1007

| hi everyone,
I have a question regarding the upgrade process from build 922 to build
1007. I understand that builds 977 and 1007 are 'baseline' builds, but
there's a known bug with applying build 977 on servers with a large number of
databases (KB 891640). Because of this bug, should I just skip installing
build 977 and go straight to build 1007 to avoid this issue? I've seen the
error before on other servers in my environment, can't remember how I got
around it. I don't know if build 1007 is cumulative or if I should just roll
the dice with installing build 977 then install build 1007 if build 977
fails. Please don't recommend SP4, we haven't tested it yet and the fixes in
1007 didn't make it into SP4 and won't show up until build 2162. Any
thoughts?

You should use the 1007 build instead of the 977, since it superceeds 977.
