SQL2005 Ent Saving Diagram reports 'isBusy'

| Problem:
When saving a database diagram about 50% of the time the SqlServer Mgmt
Studio locks up. In the lower right hand corner the animated gif shows it's
trying to save. When you hover on the SqlServer icon the tooltip indicates
"Delay Notification", when clicked a balloon pops up saying "isBusy"
"Microsoft Sql Server Management Studio is waiting for and internal
operation to complete. If you regularly encounter this delay during normal
usage, please report this to Microsoft"
Hardware:
3.4Ghz P4 W/2GB
What's going on.

| How many tables(heavy relationship) was there when you tried to save the
diagram?

Sree
[Please specify the version of Sql Server as we can save one thread and time
asking back if its 2000 or 2005]

| Sree,
It's SqlServer2005 Enterprise Edition...[See subject of message]
The current instance of this issue is in a database that is empty, just
tables no rows. 46 tables with large compound keys, strongly related.
On the diagram that it choked on, there were 32 tables, again strongly
related.
The symptoms, once the save diagram in initiated, there is initial disk
activity that seems to be a consequence of the save then it stops . All the
while Management Studio gets slower and slower until the all responsiveness
is lost. It just goes to lunch...and never comes back.
The other programs running don't seem to be affected.
Hope this helps.
