Sql Server Memory Settings Ignored
|

| I have the Developer Edition installed on my workstation, and I have
throttled back memory usage to 512M, however, when the service starts, it is
reporting 1.7G virtual size. I am running on a DELL Inspiron 9400 dual core
with 2 gig of memory. Any Ideas why this would be happening?

| I neglected to state that it was SQL 2000 that was installed. I also have a
named instance of 2005 installed, but the service is stopped.
