SQL 2000 SP4 2000.80.2039.0 failed to apply cumulative hotfix KB916287

This problem happened when first using a non-Windows Administrator account

occurred.

284.421: RebootNecessary = 1,WizardInput = 1 , DontReboot = 0, ForceRestart
= 0
Shutdown Initiated in Self Extractor

Second install attempt also failed when using an account with Windows
Administrator privilege although different error code produced

This problem happened to one specific SQL server, while it was OK on several
other SP4 servers

Hi Hong

Did SQL Server restart ok after the initial upgrade failure? Have you tried
a reboot before re-installing?
