Author Sql Server Connection Problem (existing connection forcibly closed

A few days ago, my dev Sql Server 2005 database instance started rejecting
connections. I have created a dump of the error message below.

So far I have tried the following to no avail.
1. Used the surface area configuration tool to allow named pipes and tcp
connections.
2. Used the sql configuation tool to allow tcp connections to come before
named pipes.

This is really strange as my database was working fine until a couple of
days ago. The only thing I did diferrent was to create a Web application on
the same dev machine a few days ago, and it had a Sql Server EXPRESS
database. I have since deleted that web application but it did not fix my Sql
Server login issues.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
