I am having a blocking problem and one area I am considering looking into is
the way the application handles query timeouts. In running sysprocesses, the
SPID at the head of the blocking chain is consistently at 2. I understand
this might be a sign that the application is not handling query timeouts.
However, the Status for this SPID is "runnable". Any suggestions as to
whether this (the application and the way it handles query timeouts) is worth
pursuing, based upon these findings?
