We are using a very old application (will be phased out in the next few
months), which connects via a system DSN to a SQL Server 2005 Express
database.

This application connects when it is starting, and keeps this
connection. Because of other software, we switched from sql 200o to
2005. Since then, this connection is terminated at 12:00 PM and AM.

Does anyone know why this is happening, and how we can keep this
connection alive?

Hi Theo

You don't say if the application is on the server or not? Have you changed
the network protocols being used? Is the connection active doing something
when the disconnection takes place? Do you have a virus checker or similar
run at that time?
