Both machines runnin SQL 2005, one Windows XP SP2, the other Windows
2000 server.

I have configured the XP machine as per
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/839279.

Now, I get the message:

OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI" for linked server "xserver" returned message
"The transaction manager has disabled its support for remote/network
transactions".

I have found information about setting this in Win2003 server but how
can I fix w/ a Win2000 server?
