This appears to be new in SQL05, and may not even be activated. Anyone
know the use or intended use of this setting?

This doesn't seem to be implemented. I use July Books Online update, and all the references for this
option has been removed from BOL (as seen in revision history). The only place where it exists is in
sys.database, so perhaps this is something that will be implemented in some future version.
