Author sigh...log shipping frustrations

Not sure why I'm not getting this. Everytime I attempt to setup a log
shipping scenario it gives me an error.

My primary servername is gimli.
Secondary is stryder.

Everytime I get an error from msdb.dbo.sp_add_jobserver
'The specified @server_name ('STRYDER2') does not exist.'

What is up with this? It insists on adding a '2' to whatever I specify as
my servername.
This truly must be a bug no?

OK and now playing with replication I was setting up STRYDER as a
distributor. It failed saying that STRYDER is already configured as a
distributor. So I started at the beginning of the wizard and told it to use
an existing server and specified STRYDER. ARRGGHH!!
Then it says STRYDER is not configured as a distributor.....is this sounding
like my install is hosed or something? I'm not sure it knows what its own
name is.

@@servername returns STRYDER

Good thing this is my test bed. :)

Yeah thanks :( :) not the answer I wanted! But that fixed it. Really
