SQL 2005 WORKGROUP Installation Problem Please help!

| I have been trying to upgrade from
SQL Express to SQL Server Workgroup Edition 2005.
When I try to install the database, this error message pops up.
Error 1706. Setup cannot find the required files. check your connection to
the network, or CD-RoM drive. For other potential solutions to this problem,
see C:ProgramFiles\Micro
soft Office\OFFICE11\1033
\SETUP.CHM.
When installing th OWC11. Can someone help?
Also, I've tried using the Upgrade advisory but it says that the database is
not support by this upgrade advisory.
I do have Windows XP Professional edition. Please help.

| Hi
This looks like the CD may be corrupted have you tried copying all the files
to a HDD? Have you tried not installing Reporting Services to see if it is
successful?

| John,
You are awesome. I dont know how long me and others have been trying to get
this to work.
By copying to the desktop and then running it there made it work. THanks
Thank you for helping a newbie out.
