Author Problem connecting to SQL 2005 from MS Access

We had an Access file using User DSN to connect to a database on a SQL 2000.
Last weekend we upgraded to SQL 2005 and moved all databases from the SQL
2000 server to the SQL 2005 server. Now the Access file is not able to see
the new database on SQL 2005. I updated the User DSN with new IP,
successfully tested the connection. However the MS Access file is still not
able to see the database on SQL 2005 server. It shows "ODBC-connection to
XXX failed". Thanks.

SQL 2005 starts out with all connections closed off.

You may need to open the SQL Server Configuration Manager and enable the
TCP/IP server and client protocols.

Look on the [Start], [Microsoft SQL Server] menu for the [Surface Area
Configuration Tool] and read the help.

The SQL server is already configured as back end for a web server so the IP
address and port number is not an issue.
