Error locating sqlsui.dll

| Hi,
Hope someone can help. If I click on SQL Server Licensing in Control Panel I
get 'error locating sqlsui.dll'
I Googled for a solution and the only reference was if this file was missing
or corrupt in program files\microsoft sql server\80\tools\binn
but the file
does exist. I tried replacing the dll with new ones extracted from SP4 but
this has made no difference.
There was also a reference to sqdedev.dll so I tried replacing this file
also, but I still keep getting the error.
SQL Server 2000 SP4 on Windows Server 2003 SP1

| it's a known bug with sql2k sp4. if you have a second instances of sql
(etc. veritas backup), the path to sql server is changed in the
registry. check here: use regedit
my computer\hkey_local_
machine\software\mic
rosoft\microsoft sql
server\80\tools\clie
ntsetup
and make sure the path is "c:\p.....\tools" not just "tool"
good luck.
ps. backup/export your registry before you make any change!
