Author Not Associated with a Trusted SQL Server Connection

Hi,

I'm writing this because I can find plenty of people saying that "you
need to use mixed authentication" when you get this error, but not much
else. I am able to open Query analyzer and log in using the computer
name, let's say in this case it is WORKGROUP\SQLSRVR and log in with my
SQL username and password, no problem. As soon as I change that
computer name to the computer's IP address I get the "Not Associated
with a Trusted Connection" error. THEN, if i try to log in again
through query analyzer with the IP and check Windows Authentication it
works just fine. I really do not want this though. I want to log in
with the IP address and SQL username and password.

Anyone who can help would be my hero.

Thanks so much,

Nick
