SS2000 Eval expires prematurely
|

| I installed an eval copy of SQL Server 2000 on my tablet on 10-5-05. It has a
120-day expiration date which would be 4-5-06. I also installed the 120-day
eval version of MS Reporting Services for SS2000 on about 10-5-05 or shortly
thereafter. I tried to pull up RS and received an error message stating that
it had expired. Also, when I try to start the eval instance of SS2000 with
Service Manager, it doesn't start at all. What gives?? I should have 1.5
months left to research it. PLEASE ADVISE ASAP BEFORE IT TRULY EXPIRES ON
4-5-06.

| Hmm, unless my math is worse than I thought, 120 days is about 4 months, not
6 months. 4 months from October 5th would be around February 5th give or
take a few days. I think it has correctly expired.

| Steve:
You are so very right. Well, this is embarrassing. For soem reason i had 180
days stuck in my mind (even though I typed 120). I will delete the post.
