The slow query only presents itself:

- For one of the administrative ids
- When working on the server -- connecting remotely from another machine
works fine
- A large # of columns are returned

We can execute the query quickly to a temp table. However, retrieving the
data from the temp table is slow. This is leading us to believe it is a
driver issue. Note we tried this with and without "Enable shared memory
protocol" selected in the client utility.
