| Hi everyone,
installed SQL Server Std. Ed. with a wrong CD Key,
is there a chance to change it to the right key without uninstall/new
installation of the complete product?
Thanx for any help.

| Hi you one,
I don=B4t know if that will break the installation, but if your only
option is to reinstall the SQL Server, that should be worth a try:
http://www.extremeexperts.com/SQL/Tips/GetCDKey.aspx
RegCD is stored in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\S
OFTWARE\Microsoft\Mi
crosoft SQL
Server\80\registrati
on\CD_KEY (if existing), changing this *might*
help.
HTH, jens Suessmeyer.

| Forget it,
the key exists. When i change it to the "right" key,
everything is working fine. Also when i change it to any CD_KEY, it
works also.
