| http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?p1=2852 says that mainstream support
ends 2 years after the next version of the product is released and extended
support ends 5 years after that. Then
http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?p1=2855 says that SQL Server 2005
was generally available on 1/14/2006. Taken together, I would assume that
means mainstream support for SQL Server 2000 ends 1/14/2008 and extended
support endes 1/14/2013. You can get all this by starting at
http://support.microsoft.com/gp/lifeselect and doing a little digging
around.
