SQL Server 2005 x64 vs 32-bit

| Hi,
I have two identical IBM x366 servers with four CPUs and four GB RAM
each. The two servers are going to be connected to a IBM DS4300 which is
a SAN box. I have installed one server with Win2k3 x64 and SQL 2005 x64
and the other with Win2k3 32-bit with SQL Server 2005 32-bit.
I want to compare the difference in performance between the two servers
wrt SQL Server. What tool can I use that will test the CPU and Disk I/O
for SQL transactions to give me a meaningful comparison?
Thanks,
- Siddhartha

From the article
"Currently, there is no true 64-bit build of SQLIOStress."

| X64 clients can not make a new connection untill SQL Server service is
restarted.

| Hi Siddhartha,
Out of the box question from a newbee. Can you help me with the command to
use sqliostress.exe for a remote server.
Thanks.
