Hi Nathon

Without knowing the SQL that they are sending to the database, it is a bit
of a black box. A simple insert statement should not be a problem, therefore
it looks like they may be doing other things in their code that is causing
the problem. You can use SQL profiler to show what statements are being sent
and this may help when they you do eventually get through to their support.

John, would it help if I posted our ASP/VB code? (I assume the SQL is in
there?)

Is SQL profiler part of Enterprise Manager?

Thanks
Nath.

Hi Nathon

I don't think the code would help in this instance as I assume that all the
SQL is called from your third party add in.

SQL profiler is a tool that comes with SQL Server, it is not part of EM but
it can be accessed from the tools menu. You should also find it in the SQL
Server program group off the start menu.

As an introduction you may want to look at Tony's webcast at
