Author Job cancelled due to stop job request

Can someone explain to me why our jobs keep stopping due to "stop job
request". There are no other traces in the logs (Event log, SQL Server Log).

The jobs are running in SQL Server 2005 on 8 cpu server, jobs are performing
SSIS steps when this happens.

Exact error message on the step: "The step was cancelled (stopped) as the
result of a stop job request."
Error message on the job: "The job was stopped prior to completion by
(Unknown) . The Job was invoked by User domain\user. The last step to run
was step 3 (PLIS). The job was requested to start at step 3 (PLIS)."
