Author Upgrading Replication objects from SS 2000 to 2005

We are doing a preliminary requirements document for upgrading our SQL
Server 2000 Servers to 2005. We are an ASP and we have over 2000
databases. Over 100 of these databases we offer transactional
replication to our clients (subscribers).

1. When I run the SQL Server Installation for 2005 and upgrade the
existing 2000 instances (publication server and distributor server),
will all the publications be up and running without having to
reinitialize?

2. Is it possible to migrate a database, articles (i.e, replication
objects) from a SQL 2000 server to 2005 without having to
reinititalize?

The reason I'm asking is we have very huge tables.

Thanks,

KS
