Author SqlServer.exe Thread suspension

Hi,

I have a problem with the sqlserver.exe and sqlagent.exe threads and
my file system filter driver. I have been trying to solve the problem,
taking help from NTFSD group on OSROnline, but have not yet been successful
in doing so.

I am using sql server 2000 + SP3.

The problem is regarding the behaviour of SQL server threads on starting up
the SQLSERVER and SQLAgent services. On starting up those services, the
system hangs and a symptom I see during the hang is that the sql server
threads are suspended.

Do some threads of sqlserver.exe and sqlagent.exe suspend themselves when
sql server services are started? If that is the case, why do they do so and
is there any way I can change the behaviour (through some config settings)?

Thanks in advance,
Amol
