I currently have a SQL 2000 database on my LAN that a server on the outside
accesses. I would like to change this configuration so that it is secure.
What is the best way to do this? My thought is to have 2 SQL servers. One
for the local lan and one for the outside webservers to access. What can I
do if there are databases that need to be accessed from the inside and the
outside. Any thoughts, recommendations, or best practices are appreciated.
