dbnetlib connecting with Named Pipes

Connecting with VB 6, ADO MDAC 2.8 to SQL Server 2005 Express Edition from
Client to Server with ConnectionString = "...Network Library=dbnetlib...".
Client and Server both running Windows XP SP 2.
Both TCP/IP and Named Pipes are activated as Server Protocols.

Connection works fine, but Activity Monitor (started from SQL Server
Management Studio Express CTP November) shows in Column Net Library 'Named
Pipes' instead of TCP/IP.

Can anybody help? Thanks.
