Hi all,
Does the software support this? a linked server to sql2005 from sql 2000
server?
I keep getting error of "The user is not associated with a trusted SQL
Server connection." or "Server not found". So i like to know if it is doable
fiest before i go crazy trying to fiqure out where it is wrong.

I see that you did not get an answer yet. I have been able to connect from
SQL 2000 to SQL2005 via linked server successfully using server name Going
to another area of the domain, I was able to connect using the IP address
rather than the server name. Hope that helps if you didn't figure it out
already.
