Doug,

I'm glad to see someone else is having this problem. I just got it to work
thanks to your post and Cindy's help.

She had it right with the permissions thing. Change the startup "logon as"
permissions of the SQL Server 2005 instance (in Configuraiton Manger) instead
of the fooling with folder/file permissions.

Log on as "Local System" works for me - at least for now during testing.

I was getting worried their for a while...
