hi,
this is srinu.
my questions r 1) what is lookup transformation and in which situation
we use ?
2) what is difference between static and
dynamic?

the lookup transformation simply do lookup against a database to retrieve a
value from this a table.

The usage is simple. for example:
when you have a table which contains a productID column and you want to
retrieve your datawarehouse surrogate key, you can use the lookup
transformation to retrieve this column.
