| Hello,
this needs urgent help so I really really thank you if you answer this
right away.
I upgraded a Sybase server, by going onto a new machine using SQL
Server 2000. I can easily setup ODBCs from other SQL Servers to connect
to this server. Furthermore, I was able to get an ODBC setup at another
computer that I do not have access to, but that was running Windows NT
and connect with no issues to my new server.
However, I am trying to create an ODBC from NT to SQL Server 2000 right
now. What happens is I pass the screen where the servers are listed,
meaning the computer sees the server, but after that I get an error,
and I am sorry I cannot quote it:
-Open Connection fail
-Write fail
-I know that it invokes the named pipes driver.
Could this be an out of date SQL Server driver? One thing I noticed is
that this NT machine for some reason has MS SQL Server 6.5, and the NT
machine that was able to connect to SQL Server had only Sybase on it.
Please help!
I appreciate it very very very much.
Thank you!
