Author Locking with ODBC

Access 2000 Runtime Front End
SQL Server 2000 Back End
ODBC Linked tables
PK in each table
Timestamp Field in each table

I am having issues with record locking in my Access database. If my form is
set to edited record because I am using an ODBC connection it gets treated
as if lock type setting was NO LOCKS. Can anyone help me with this please?
