SQL Server 2000 Timeout
|

| Hi,
In query designer there are times when I go to run a query and I get a
timeout error. Any ideas how to set the timeout property for so that the
query will run to completion without timing out.
Thanks in advance.

| If you have not manually change any setting then default is 0 for timeout.
otherwise change this property and also install latest MDaC 2.81

| Hi,
How do I change the property? If I right click on the pane (where the table
is displayed) and select "Properties" the properties window that is displayed
doesn't have a "Timeout" property.
Thanks.

| I don't believe you can change Enterprise Managers query
timeout value. The workaround is to use Query Analyzer for
those types of queries. Enterprise Manager wasn't really
designed for executing long queries.

| Thanks Sue,
I'll take your answer as the final answer on this.
