functional testing a database web app

We have developed a web based database app but now we have discovered
the need to do functional testing.

We don't need performance or benchmarking

We don't want to spend too much time coding the tests.

Some basic features needed are
1) script capture
2) easy script editing and modification
3) reporting on the content returned from the app

what do others use to test their database apps?
