How can I find out the original size of the Data and Log files?

I don't believe that information is stored anywhere - the system tables
and procs all seem to show only the current size. Documenting your
server build and all modifications to your database settings is
probably the best way to make sure you have a history of things like
that..

Boo! Well, it is good avice Simon; my trouble is I did not set up the
databases, our vendor did. I wanted to check myself, as I suspect the
tables were created with the default of 1mb (they are now 12GB
combined, mostly favoring the log)
