I've been working with MS on the bug described in kb870810 for bug 8388
(SE). I've upgraded my server to SP4, applied the CE SP4 fix, and then
applied their hotfix patch both to the device and the IIS machine running
SQL Server Agent.

No I cannot get agent to work at all with fix applied...yes i did a
iisreset.

Anyone conquered this problem successfully....what could I be missing?

TIA
Harry

Harry,

Do you have a reference case number I can look up to see more details ?
What is the error you are getting ?

Thank you!

After applying the "hotfix" then reapplying the SP4 and CE SP4 fix on the
server and replacing the two files ssce20.dll and ssceca.dll on the
device.....it syncs from a ethernet cradle.....

Actually it only appeared to work. It actually is not pulling anything down
via RDA.
It will sync with the SP4 CE tools on the server ie sscesa20.dll 2.0.7331.0
but will not tolerate anything but the old dlls on the device:
ssce20.dll 2.0.4415.0
ssceca20.dll 2.0.4415.0

the new dlls i was sent by MS DO NOT WORK
ssce20.dll - 2.0.6210.0
ssceca20.dll - 2.0.6310.0

So I guess I'll go with what works and not relize the hotfix.

Thanks
Harry

Seems like if this was a bug, MS would've release another sqlce arm v4 cab
for the device.....
