| I have a database in the sql server and I want to give read only access to
that database to my client but client want to access that database through
Microsoft access... is it possible?

| Hi,
Yes you can.
Create a system DSN for sql server.
Then in access , use File>>Get External Data>>Link tables to bring up a
dialog box that will allow you to search for the SQL Server. At
the bottom of that dialog box, change to ODBC datasources, and then use the
system DSN you just created.

| Thanks Hari, you mean that first I need to create one user in sql server who
has select rights and then I can create the system DSN aginst that user..
right ?
